What Greek Advisors Are Saying…

“Working with Beta Theta Pi on an expansion initiative sets a standard for excellence, professionalism, and collaboration that will be difficult to replicate in future professional endeavors. Further, we are a better fraternity community because of the involvement of Beta Theta Pi and I am a better fraternity professional because of my association with this outstanding organization. I have nothing but the highest regard for the organization, their professionalism, and the many contributions they will make to a campus with whom they begin (and sustain) a partnership.”

Director of Greek Life

“The end result of the re-colonization effort at Virginia was incredibly impressive as a colony of over 65 student leaders was recruited to join Beta Theta Pi. Perhaps most impressive, though, was the General Fraternity’s commitment to recruiting student leaders who espoused and embraced Beta’s principles and values. As we look to the future, we believe a new standard has been set for fraternities based on the re-colonization of Beta Theta Pi; and we are confident that many future successes for the chapter will be built upon the foundation that was established during the re-colonization period.”

Assistant Dean of Students

“While serving as the Associate Dean of Students/Director of Judicial Affairs at the University of Miami, I had the opportunity to work closely with the headquarters staff and volunteers for Beta Theta Pi. To say that my experience was a pleasure would be an understatement! From the initial presentation to the completion of the colonization, it was nothing short of first class! Promising to bring a ‘new opportunity’ for our students, they more than delivered on their commitment. The net result…a colonization in excess of 65 men!

When reflecting upon my 22 years of experience working professionally with fraternities and sororities, the colonization efforts of Beta Theta Pi far exceeded my expectations and reassured me that the General Fraternity does continue to live by its mission of ‘building men of principle for a principled life’.

“I believe the key to the process was the caliber of men who were on our campus to represent Beta.  They had four staff members here for the duration of the recruitment period and a consultant stayed on site for the entire duration of the colony education process. Beta Theta Pi provides the best support for their local chapter I have ever seen.  I am constantly receiving copies of email and other communication to the chapter.  Too many times, the headquarters will not be involved in the operation of a chapter until an issue arises. This is not the case with Beta.”

“Ideal – it is the only word I can think of that describes the expansion experience I had with Beta Theta Pi fraternity!  The men were extremely well prepared before they ever began the recruitment process, as several different members of the fraternity staff had met with me several times in the proceeding months.  The staff of Beta Theta Pi was and continues to be extremely professional and well-organized.  It was especially exciting that they devoted four men to the expansion process for three weeks.  I have never had another fraternity devote that amount of attention to expansion in my 20 years.

I feel that Beta Theta Pi challenged the men on campus to raise their expectations of fraternity life by their recruitment through scholarship and leadership.  The colony continues to maintain the highest gpa amongst fraternities and has shown the other fraternities that you really can expect and acquire men of high scholastic quality that are also good leaders, athletes and fraternity men!

I would highly recommend Beta Theta Pi fraternity for expansion to another campus.  If you are looking for men of principle that work with the University, enhance the fraternity/sorority community and provide exceptional on-going colony support, then Beta Theta Pi is definitely the ideal fraternity to invite to your campus.”
